
Jason Judd
Jason Judd joined the Nellie Mae Education Foundation in 2026 as the State Director for Maine. In this role, he helps execute NMEF’s strategy through strengthening coalitions, promoting data and knowledge products, advancing education justice initiatives, and supporting local communities.
Before joining Nellie Mae, he was the Executive Director at Educate Maine, a nonprofit education advocacy organization where he focused on championing career readiness by increasing the educational attainment of Maine people. He led education and workforce policy efforts, expanded partnerships for the state’s education coalition, and developed new programs to support rural students and educators.
Earlier in his career, Jason served as a teacher, school counselor, and academic dean at Maine Central Institute, a high school where he focused on helping young people prepare for postsecondary education and the workforce.
Jason earned his Doctorate in Education from Northeastern University. He holds a master’s degree from the University of Southern Maine and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Maine at Farmington. Jason serves on a variety of boards including the Rural Youth Institute, Live and Work in Maine, and the Maine State Workforce Board.
