Muntaha Mohamed is a Black/Somali woman, artist, and activist living on Abenaki Land. She believes in and works to build community, create safe spaces, and enact the courage it takes to envision and move towards an equitable world together. Muntaha co-leads creative writing workshops, has previously supported BIPOC youth organizing to dismantle white supremacy in schools and is currently a Howard graduate student intending to research Somali ancestral practices. She loves discussing and learning about healing, Black Liberation, Africana history, Afro-futurism, intersectional movement work, and re-imagining as an organizing method. She is looking forward to learning more about equitable organizing practices and how to embody them.
