Michael G. Williams Jr.
Michael G. Williams Jr. is a Program Officer at the Nellie Mae Education Foundation where his primary focus is capacity building.
Previously, Michael worked at Duet, a non-profit that partners with the University of Southern New Hampshire to help students of color enroll in and complete degree programs. Prior to working for Duet, Michael served as a Case Manager at Youth Options Unlimited Boston (YOU) where he supported young people, all of who were court-involved, gang-affiliated, or reentering the community from incarceration, to obtain education and employment opportunities. He has also served as a Legislative Aide to Massachusetts State Senator Linda Dorcena Forry and as a Partnership Specialist with the United States Census Bureau.
Michael also serves as a Trustee for the Grove Hall Trust, a volunteer-led community foundation whose mission is to improve the quality of life in Boston’s Grove Hall neighborhood. Michael earned a Masters Degree in Education from Harvard University, and is a graduate of Morehouse College.
