Colin Jones

SENIOR PORTFOLIO LEAD: K-12 COALITIONS, PARTNERSHIP, MOVEMENT BUILDING

Colin Jones joined the foundation in 2025. He currently serves as the Portfolio Lead for K-12 Coalitions, Partnerships, and Movement Building. In this role, he helps implement the Foundation’s grantmaking and grantee engagement, particularly focused on cultivating and strengthening alliances to advance educational equity across New England.

Before joining Nellie Mae, he served as Deputy Policy Director and Senior Analyst at the Massachusetts Budget and Policy Center, where he led research, coalition-building, and advocacy efforts focused on K-12 and higher education funding and policy reform.

Earlier in his career, Colin served four terms in AmeriCorps national service programs focused on project-based learning, academic support, and entrepreneurship at the non-profits BUILD in Oakland, California and Citizen Schools Massachusetts.

Colin earned a Master in Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, focusing on urban policy and education. He holds a Bachelors of Arts in Politics from Oberlin College and is a native of the Pioneer Valley of Western Massachusetts.
