Reporting to the President and CEO, the Chief of Staff and Culture is a senior-level position and core member of the Executive Leadership Team. Working closely with other members of the Executive Leadership Team, the Chief of Staff and Culture is responsible for helping the Nellie Mae Education Foundation team achieve its tactical and strategic objectives. A key element of this role is ensuring continuity of work and timely completion of key tasks amidst a range of competing priorities. This includes ensuring the Board of Directors is engaged appropriately and has sufficient line of sight and resourcing to advance its committees; developing processes and practices to ensure a strong organizational culture and effective teaming; developing and executing internal communication systems; and leading strategic initiatives and special projects determined by the CEO to be central to the Foundation’s long-term success. Working closely with the President and CEO, the Chief of Staff and Culture will lead the operationalization of the Foundation’s current plan with the goal of bridging the Foundation’s existing grantmaking with strategic refresh(es) and catalytic investing to account for shifts in the field and reality of those we seek to serve.
